MITCHELL – The McGovern Center at Dakota Wesleyan University will offer the first two of this year’s Courageous Conversations in October. This year, two conversations on the same topic will be held. On Thursday, Oct. 17, at DWU, and on Monday, Oct. 21, in Sioux Falls, participants will address the question “Is America a Christian Nation?”
The DWU conversation will be held at 7 p.m. on the campus of Dakota Wesleyan in the School of Business, Innovation and Leadership, Pratt Alumni Board Room 117, and will be livestreamed at www.dwu.edu/live.
The Sioux Falls event will be held at 7 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 2425 S. Western Ave.
Both events are free and open to the public.
Courageous Conversations are moderated following Braver Angels debate protocols. Remember that respect and good manners are expected of all participants.
Braver Angels is leading the nation’s largest cross-partisan, volunteer-led movement to change politics for the better. Through community gatherings, real debates, and grassroots leaders working together, the group is offering America what it needs to overcome the bitterness of partisan divide.
