Campus Buildings
Allen Hall
Suites of three or four bedrooms are available for second-year students and beyond. Laundry and kitchen facilities. Community space for gathering with friends.
Alumni Welcome Center
Located on the east side of campus. Houses the institutional advancement and alumni offices. Dakota Discovery Museum and DWU Black Box Theatre located within the building.
Christen Family Athletic Center
Built in 1985, this space is home to the DWU athletic department, strength and conditioning weight room, athletic training space, and the Fosness Arena, named legendary DWU basketball coach Gordie Fosness.
Dakota Hall
Our newest residence hall for upperclassmen. Private bathrooms, community spaces, study rooms, kitchenettes and community laundry room.
Dayton Hall
Freshman residence hall with traditional 2-person rooms. Lounge on each floor, laundry and kitchen facilities, main lobby gathering space.
DWU Suites
Independent living for juniors and seniors. Private bath, living area, kitchenette with refrigerator and central heating/AC in each unit. Attached to Allen Hall by a common lobby. Choice of studio, one- or two-bedroom units.
DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness
Located on the south side of campus, across Norway Avenue from the Christen Family Athletic Center. 87,000-plus-square-foot, one-story facility. Includes fitness center, DWU athletic training facilities, 200-meter track, large field house with multiple sports courts, wrestling room, locker rooms, classrooms.
DWU Theatre
5,000-square-foot space located on the south side of campus within the Alumni Welcome Center. Houses a black-box theatre, scene shop, office space, dressing rooms, bathrooms and a green room.
Education Department
Housed in the east end of the L.B. Williams public elementary school and attached to the Christen Family Athletic Center. Faculty offices and classrooms with large tv screens.
Glenda K. Corrigan Health Sciences Center
Four-story, 48,000-square-foot building housing chemistry, biology and physics labs. Two undergraduate research labs equipped with the latest equipment. Four nursing simulation labs. Classrooms for nursing, athletic training, the sciences, mathematics and faculty offices.
Jackson Plaza
A rich, inviting landscape including a centralized courtyard, a water feature and illuminated trees. A favorite gathering place for students, faculty and staff.
Koka Hall
A co-ed residence hall with laundry facilities and a fully equipped kitchen.
McGovern Library
Home to the McGovern Center for Leadership and Public Service, the campus store, Tiger Café, the archives of the Dakotas Conference of the United Methodist Church, the DWU Archives, the McGovern Legacy Museum and all DWU library services. Private study spaces, faculty offices, TRIO Student Support Services, classrooms and the digital media and design department.
Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex
Located north of Mitchell near the Mitchell Municipal Airport on Tower Road. Features 10 soccer fields, including Championship Field – a fully lighted, 80 x 120-yard field with a seating capacity of 620 fans, locker rooms, athletic training rooms an officials' room and a two-story press box.
Rollins Campus Center
Student-centric building including admissions office, campus pastor, dean of students, Wagner Chapel, campus nurse, campus counselor, financial aid, business office, mail room, residence life and student activities offices. DWU Dining Hall and meeting rooms on the second floor.
School of Business, Innovation and Leadership
DWU’s newest building featuring 30,000 square-feet devoted to business programs, housing the Kelley Center for Entrepreneurship, a large, multipurpose boardroom and community meeting space, entrepreneurship ideation labs and a media marketing commons.
Sherman Center
Attached the Rollins Campus Center. The campus’ main event center for concerts, alumni gatherings and weekly chapel services.
Smith Hall
Home to the Ron and Sheilah Gates Department of Music, office of the president, vice president and provost, the IT department and helpdesk, coaches’ offices, esports lab, marketing and communications department, registrar’s office, and the communications, religion, psychology departments.
Wagner Chapel
Located between the Sherman Center and Rollins Campus Center. Provides an intimate setting for students to mediate or pray.
