DWU “Courageous Conversations” coming Monday, March 24

The McGovern Center at DWU will offer another Courageous Conversation on Monday, March 24.

MITCHELL – The McGovern Center at Dakota Wesleyan University will offer another Courageous Conversation on Monday, March 24. The topic for this Conversation is “Immigration & Amnesty.”

The Conversation will be held at 7 p.m. on the campus of Dakota Wesleyan in the School of Business, Innovation and Leadership, Pratt Alumni Board Room 117, and will be livestreamed at www.dwu.edu/live.

Courageous Conversations are moderated following Braver Angels debate protocols. Remember that respect and good manners are expected of all participants.

Braver Angels is leading the nation’s largest cross-partisan, volunteer-led movement to change politics for the better. Through community gatherings, real debates, and grassroots leaders working together, the group is offering America what it needs to overcome the bitterness of partisan divide.

Other upcoming events include the annual Stark Lecture, “The Saint John’s Bible,” on Thursday, April 3, at 11 a.m. in the Sherman Center.

On Monday, April 7, the McGovern Center will host the rescheduled panel discussion “Immigration & Deportation Impacts on South Dakota,” at 7 p.m. in the DWU School of Business, Innovation and Leadership.

The final event of the series will be “Voices of Resilience: Immigrant Stories of Hope, Struggle and Triumph” on Monday, April 14 at 7 p.m. in the DWU School of Business, Innovation and Leadership.

All these events are free and open to the public.
