Dakota Wesleyan University has been selecting Randall Scholars for more than 25 years. The highest academic award given at DWU, Randall Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to academically successful high school seniors who display a strong talent for leadership and service. Students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and 24 ACT or 1090 SAT to compete for a Randall Scholarship. A current leadership resume must be submitted by Jan. 31, 2014; attendance at Randall Scholarship Day is required, and a personal interview will be conducted. A limited number of Randall Scholars are named each year. Those successful in achieving Randall Scholar status will receive additional awards and the option of a book stipend or credit toward a Wesleyan-sponsored study abroad experience.

  • Submit a current leadership resume. Please include all school, church, community, service and work-related activities.

8:30 – 9 a.m. Welcome
9 – 11 a.m. Individual Interviews and Clifton StrengthsFinder
All attendees will have the opportunity to take the StrengthsFinder. This personal inventory is the first step in understanding your personal talents and strengths.
 
11 – 11:25 a.m. Academic Sessions
Learn about the variety of majors within DWU’s three colleges.
 
11:30 a.m. – Noon
Affirming Your Strengths
Our experts will explain the StrengthsFinder and help you discover how to use the new information you have about yourself.
Noon – 1:15 p.m. Scholars’ Luncheon and Award Presentation 
1:15 p.m. Optional campus tours and appointments with coaches, financial aid officers or other campus staff members.
