Admission Requirements

Students must have a minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.7. 

To apply, students must provide:

  1. A completed application with $25 application fee
  2. An official transcript from your bachelor degree-awarding institution
  3. A current resume
  4. A personal statement of 300 to 500 words answering the following questions: 

    Why do I want to pursue a Master of Arts degree in education from Dakota Wesleyan University?

    How do I plan to use what I learn to improve education for our next generation of students?

  5. Students pursuing the principal certification degree must provide proof of current South Dakota teacher certification and three years’ teaching experience
After you have completed No. 1, we will contact you to explain the submission process for items 2 through 4.
