Student Organizations
Students at DWU have a number of opportunities to develop leadership skills through participation in a variety of campus organizations. Of particular relevance to students in the business department’s programs is Enactus. Known formerly as Students in Free Enterprise or SIFE, Enactus is an international nonprofit organization active on more than 1,500 campuses in 40 countries.

Enactus’s mission is to bring together the top leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business. Considering the relevant economic, social and environmental factors, Enactus teams apply business and economic concepts and an entrepreneurial approach to developing outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.

In addition to the community focus of the program, Enactus’s leadership and career initiatives create meaningful opportunities for learning and exchange among the participants, as well as possible job opportunities for students and alumni with companies in search of emerging talent.
