Your first weekend on campus will be memorable and it will
create a strong foundation for your time at Dakota Wesleyan.

Saturday, Aug.24, 2013

8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

New student move-in

9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Finalization in Rollins Campus Center

9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

IT Support in Smith 120 

9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bookstore open – pick up your books and DWU gear

2:59 p.m.

Prize giveaway in the Sherman Center – must be present to win!

3 p.m.

Welcome session for ALL new students and families in the Sherman Center

4 p.m.

NSO Group Assignments & Ice Breakers in Sherman; Families go to the
Patten-Wing Theatre, Hughes Hall

5 p.m.

Picnic on the Plaza for students and families (Jackson Plaza)

6 p.m.

Parents depart

6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Bowling at Village Bowl

8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Dayton Resident meeting with your RA

9 p.m.

Get settled into your dorm rooms

Day 2

Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013

10 a.m.

Fusion (campus worship, Sherman Center – all are welcome!)

11 a.m.

Lunch in Weston Food Court


Food drive for the Mitchell Food Pantry – Kick-off meeting in Weston Food Court

3 to 5 p.m.

Beach Party at Mitchell Lake (Sandy Beach)

5 to 7 p.m.

All-campus meal in Weston Food Court

5 to 9 pm

Welcome Back Carnival (live music, zip line, inflatables, and more!)
