Complete Your Degree

Earn your bachelor's degree in as little as 10 months.

DWU and United have eliminated barriers.

If you have completed or are currently completing the Course of Study (COS), Certificate in Service & Leadership (CSL), or Certificate in Theology and Ministry (CTM) program, there's a path to earn a B.A. degree.

Course of Study, Certificate in Theology and Ministry, Certificate in Service & Leadership

  • Course of Study (COS) is a 20-course program that educates clergy in the Methodist church. There are dozens of licensing schools that administer the COS.
  • Certificate in Theology and Ministry (CTM), similar to COS, is an online program offered through United Theological Seminary teaching students basic theological foundation for ministry.
  • Certificate in Service and Leadership (CSL) is an equivalent program offered through United Theological Seminary equipping students for service in a variety of ministries in a church.

DWU will grant at least 24 credits for scholars who have completed or are currently completing these programs from any qualified licensing school.

Credits granted for all three programs can be applied toward DWU's online degree programs. You can choose to complete a 100% online associate or bachelor's degree in either Nonprofit Administration or Organizational Leadership.

Combine your COS, CTM or CSL courses with your DWU courses and your professional life experience to earn a degree!

"DWU has been instrumental in helping me complete my bachelor's degree. I'm 55 years old and dropped out of college after my freshman year in 1987. For years, I made excuses as to why I wouldn't go back to school. From the moment I stepped onto the campus to find out more about the PCL program, I felt this was the place to go back and complete the degree. The staff, professors, and fellow scholars have been encouraging and instrumental in the degree completion. DWU cares, and that is very important."
